Star Wars Saturday

Han Solo and Princess Leia...this was the true love story of Star Wars.  Forget Anakin and Padme who acted like they were in their first grade school romance, these two had the chemistry between them from the moment they met!  Han was smug and arrogant, and Leia acted like she couldn't stand him, but we all knew they loved each other.

And if you weren't already in love with Han Solo, you were by the time this scene was over!

Here's to the real romance of Star Wars!  The romance that keeps so many people coming back to watch it over and over again.  Anakin and Padme, you should take notes:  THIS is the way it's supposed to be done!!

Who Sings It Better?

Today's matchup:  two version's of another one of my favorite Christmas songs:  River

First up, Barry Manilow (the song starts at 1:11...I couldn't get the version without the talking to upload for me!)

Next up, Joni Mitchell, the writer of the song and the lady who made it famous.

Which do I prefer?  Joni's is beautiful, but everytime I hear Barry's version off his Christmas album I get goosebumps.

What a Difference a Day Makes

Well, what a difference a day, throwing up a few times, a lot of fever medication, and a lot of sleep make!  (Or as Brandon says, "Mommy, I just frowed up"!!!)

This morning, Brandon decided he wanted to be a snake and dance on the ground.  Unfortunately my inefficient camera batteries died half way through the dance.

Then he decided to dance to the song Get Off My Back from the movie Spirit.  This time my batteries didn't fail me!

So glad he's feeling better!
